or settling issues of your house.

New Construction

Piers and pile caps can be driven directly into the bedrock to form secure, level footings to build your foundation directly on. Building your foundation on piers and pile caps costs a fraction of what it costs to dig out an area and fill it in with shot rock.

Foundation Repairs

Piers are a very effective way to correct your foundation issues. We use piers to arrest the settling and close any cracks in the foundation that have occurred as a result. Piertech piers are an excellent permanent solution and are double galvanized with a guarantee for 75 years

House Settling

Many houses (in Ketchikan especially) can run into settling issues where the foundation and footings were built on less than stable terrain. Whether you’ve got settling issues due to inadequately compacted fill or rotting footings, piers are a great solution for those shaky areas.

Helical Piers

Helical Piers, Helical Piles, Helical Anchors, Ground Screws, and the many other names of this type of foundation system are what is used to anchor a heavy foundation. They are used to build the base, or to lift existing foundations.

Helical Piles tend to be the most cost-effective foundation solution for residential and commercial use. They are fast, and last a lifetime.

How do you use Helical Piers?

Helical Piles are drilled deep within the ground to support the structure that exists or that will be built upon them. There are many different foundation scenarios, where helical piers will be your very best solution. These can be installed using one of PierTech Systems’ equipment set ups, and this can be fully customized to fit any machine that is already in your fleet, you plan to purchase, or even a rental.

When should Helical Piles be Used?

Helicals are strongly encouraged to be used at the very beginning of construction to prevent future issues with foundations. However, they are used once the foundation is damaged, needs lifted, or needs repaired. They are great to use in all soil types, but especially when the soil is not ideal for building upon.

Push Piers

Push Piers are hydraulically driven sections of pipe that can be driven through unstable soil into load-bearing strata. Available in 2 7/8″ and 3 1/2″ shaft diameters, and are either 18″ or 36″ long. Push Piers can be galvanized or bare steel depending upon your requirements. The system is recommended when bedrock or load-bearing strata is close to the topsoil. If you must penetrate layers of soil before loading-bearing soil can be reached, we recommend using helical piers. Push Piers can be installed with lightweight portable equipment when clearance issues prevent heavy-duty equipment from being used.

Installation

A certified installation expert analyzes your building and soil types to determine the number of piers required.

Minor excavation work begins around the footer for each pier.

Push piers are driven into the ground next to the foundation.

Additional lengths of push piers may be used until proper depth has been reached.

A Tru-Lift Bracket is added to the piers.

Your home or building is hydraulically raised to the proper height.

Brackets are permanently attached to the building.

Excavation is backfilled and landscaping is replaced.
